Introduction

Hello, my name is Jodi... Welcome...

I have been working for over 20 years and for the past 16 years, in the resort hospitality business which when I started was a great job to have. Any job dealing with the public meant job security (ever heard of "If you build it they will come").

Beautiful resorts along white sandy beaches pretty much guaranteed people would come and vacation, but now with today's economy, people are staying close to home and even if they have the money to travel; they are putting that money in savings due to lack of job security across the country. No one knows what tomorrow will bring.

My tomorrow came this past October when I was sitting at my desk and my manager walked in and said I was no longer needed. No explanation, no reasoning, no notice, just get your things and leave. So for the first time in over 20 years, I am now unemployed.

I am creating this blog as my daily diary of whats going on in my world now that I am unemployed. I look forward to what each new day will bring.
